Mother’s Day 2027 is Sunday, May 9. The city has not announced its 2027 Mother’s Day event yet. In 2026, Parks and Recreation hosted a Mother’s Day Brunch for older residents, and the Pompano Beach Cultural Center has a show booked the night before Mother’s Day 2027.

Gifts and markets

The Green Market Pompano Beach on the Cultural Center campus runs on the second and fourth Saturdays from November through April, so its season ends before Mother’s Day; the last 2027 market dates are on our farmers markets page. For handmade gifts, the city’s Holiday Handcrafts Bazaar is in November; we will list any spring craft market the city or a local group announces.

Ideas for the day

  • A beach morning. Pompano Beach has 3 miles of public beach; parking and the pier are covered in our pier and Fishing Village guide.
  • Wahoo Bay, at Roy L. Rogers Family Park, 2700 N. Ocean Blvd., opens for swimming 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from May 1 to Sept. 30. The city expects to close the swim platform from October 2026 for the Roy Rogers seawall project, so check its page before you go.
