Ice cream in Pompano Beach sits in two places: by the beach, from Kilwins near the pier to the shops on East Atlantic Boulevard toward the beach, and along North Federal Highway from Chill-N up to the Pompano Citi Centre and Dairy Queen. A few small dessert shops are on the west side.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside the Pompano Beach city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 11, 2026. Because the map records had no ice cream shops tagged, we added places from the state’s restaurant license and inspection records and checked each address against the Census city boundary. Places marked “no website” have none we could find or load; each holds a current state license. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. The places
Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream on North Federal Highway makes each order with liquid nitrogen, according to its site, and offers pickup, delivery and event catering.
Cold Stone Creamery is at the southwest corner of North Federal Highway and Copans Road in the Pompano Citi Centre. Its store page lists dine-in and pickup hours and later closing on Friday and Saturday.
Dairy Queen on North Federal Highway holds a current state license; the chain’s store page blocked our requests, so check its app for hours.
Foxtail Coffee Co. at the Pompano Citi Centre is a coffee shop that also scoops Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream, with dairy and non-dairy flavors, according to its store page. It has indoor seating and outdoor cafe seating. It is also on our breakfast and coffee list.
Kilwins has a shop on North Pompano Beach Boulevard near the pier. The state inspected it in June 2026; the chain’s site did not load for us.
