Broward County public schools are on spring break Monday, March 22, to Friday, March 26, 2027, and Easter Sunday follows on March 28. The city’s spring camp, its pools and the beach are the main options for families; the city has not posted its 2027 spring camp or Spring Palooza dates yet, so last year’s are below for planning.

Spring break camp
The city’s K-5 Spring Break Camp runs full days of games, arts and crafts, sports and group play. The 2026 camp was 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on March 13 and March 16-20, at $140 for residents and $280 for nonresidents, at four sites; campers bring a lunch and snacks. 2027 dates are not out yet. Things to do
- The beach and pier. Pompano Beach has 3 miles of public beach and the Fisher Family Pier, which stretches nearly 900 feet into the Atlantic. More on our parks and trails page and the pier and Fishing Village guide.
- Wahoo Bay, at Roy L. Rogers Family Park, 2700 N. Ocean Blvd., has open swimming from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily from October through April. The city expects to close the swim platform from October 2026 for the Roy Rogers seawall project, so check its page before you go.
- The pools. Both city aquatic centers are open year-round; see the table below.
- The skatepark is open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily; helmets are required.

What is open
Spring break is not a city holiday. City Hall keeps its Monday to Thursday hours, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., trash pickup runs normally, and parks stay open sunrise to sunset.
